Treely 1.1: Danger Zone

Last time, Yew Treely married Lexus and the two putzed around the house pretending to garden in between sexy times, mac & cheese, and fighting over the piano. They kept the house in surprisingly good order despite having 2 Neat points each, but it all went downhill fast with the arrival of babies. Lexus popped out twin boys, Alder and Ash, and then one daughter, Aspen.

This happens a lot. I don't have a ton of toddler pictures because, while the kids have an activity table, a logic block thing, and a toy chest, they spend all their time complaining about how much fun they're not having. And doing this.

Alder: #YOLO

Sustenance! Thank plumbob for Lexus, who autonomously cooks group meals.

I felt guilty about playing letting my sims "take the wheel" with babies around, but then I remembered that babies/toddlers can't die in this game, so... Good luck, Alder!

Yew being useless. He spends all day on his bed, ignoring his kids and thinking about nothing in particular. Seriously, no thought bubbles.

He built this by himself while the small ones were starving and poop-soaked, for example.

Aspen ages up without the chipmunk cheeks that her brothers have.

Look at Ash's cheeks!

Stinky bottle apocalpse. Seeing the house like this had me twisting in my seat so bad. I cannot deal with sloppy sims.

Because the adults have other things to do.

Yew was actually reading up on Lifelong Happiness because 1) he wanted to, and 2) I'm concerned that he may never be happy again.

He's been having a nightmare or three every night for the last few days. I have no idea what he's dreaming about.

I didn't get a picture, but the plants in front of the house died before bearing fruit. The Treelys are really low on money, so what they have, they need to spend on getting a head start on the spring crops.

They're so desperate for money that I reluctantly sell Lexus's portrait of happy little trees. The toybox that the kids never play with also goes. :|

Oh shi--

Given the current state of the house, I take over for an EMERGENCY INTERVENTION. The house gets cleaned, the sims get scrubbed down, and everyone eats.

Yew leaves the home lot for the first time since his wedding day and works on getting some food.

It doesn't go so well at first.

Now your family might not totally starve to deads!

Yesss. Thank you townie stranger!

Eat, Yew, eat. Who knows how many more chances you will get!

At home, Lexus does right by Yew's catch.

She also gets to work on the backyard plots.

By some miracle, Ash manages to grow up well.

Alder even gets himself in Platinum status.

What kind of witch craft...

Later, in the backyard...

What are you even doing out here, Alder.

They try to be good parents, sometimes. <333

I feel better about leaving the Treelys fully autonomous again, but they are no closer to paying their bills.

Alder was very pleased with his drawing, but maybe he was copying off Ash. Aww, they drew all the food they're not having!

I was hoping they could eat at school, but it's Saturday, so it's a good thing Yew went out when he did.

Nothing new. Ash's personality is really close to that of his (identical) parents, and Alder is just a meaner version of the same. Everyone in this family is a slob.

IIRC, Ash's OTH is Art, also like his parents. One more sim to fight over the piano, really.

Alder "danced" along, which mainly consisted of waving his arms from side to side. Awkward.

But yeah, life is pretty normal again. Note the tip jar. In his own home. Again.

The boys took over the big bed. I didn't know sims could sleep on chairs like that.

I think this might be the last fish left.

After this popup, a little pile of red bills exploded.

First look at outfits that the boys grew into. Alder is hiding some schoolboy shorts and loafers under the activity table, hahaha.

It's a bit much, so they get a cheaty change of clothing.

Meanwhile. Lexus gains a Silver Gardening Badge to match Yew, and I notice that she also came with a Bronze Toy-making Badge and Silver Pottery Badge. I also notice that the psd actions I use didn't take to all my screenshots, unless I applied them twice to the first one.

Second set of bills turns red. Cucumbers still not ready to harvest.

Oh god yes, I love the mod that allows townies to spawn with glasses and facial hair!

But nooooo! Don't take the only thing that the children have ever loved!

Damn cucumbers.

As you can see, the repo man didn't take the activity table. Apparently the Treelys had $400 dining chairs.

Did you have a good first day, Ash? It's so cute that you wave to the...

Scruffy hot bus driver, yowza.

You dorks. I don't even know who brought this girl home.

Alder wants to be her friend, though.

Ahhh, this family.

FINALLY! Believe it or not, the plants were drowned by a spring shower. Lexus just didn't notice that beforehand.

I'm gonna end here, when the Treelys have caught up with their bills. The plants in the backyard are almost ready to harvest, and Aspen is a day away from aging up. Next time!

Yes it is! At first I was upset to have mangled a clean install, but it turns out I'm glad to see some familiar faces around.

Relationships in TS3 take so long, I'm surprised that anyone can nab a founding spouse! I love that TS2 sims can meet, fall in love, and get married within the same day.

Are you against digging for treasure? That could help take care of the most urgent bills next time. If I really don't want to cheat, I resort to that. Even $25 bones add up.

I forgot sims could do that, actually. I don't mind the repoman as much as sims do, but I was fretting hard over the lack of food and the possibility that he would take the fridge or stove. Now that winter's over, the Treelys are doing much better, but I'll keep that in mind!
